Franziska Krieck, born 1975, grew up in East Germany and studied architecture at the Bauhaus University in Weimar. She worked in architectural studios and assisted experienced photographers, founded a company and became a recognized documentarian for architects, artist, galleries and museums. 

She is living today in Antwerp, Belgium and works as an artist. In addition to her artistic work and assignments, she teaches photography at different universities and institutions across Belgium.
